TCP/IP Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol is what it stands for, it allows two or more computers to communicate
HTTP Hyper Text Transfer Protocol is what it stands for, its the ruels that are used for transmitting files over the internet
HTTPS It is exactly the same as the HTTP but it has a secure socket layer. Which is a security protocol put in place in web servers.
FTP File transfer protocol is what it stands for, it is a standard protocol for transmitting filed between devices on the Internet
POP Post office protocol is what it stands for, it is an application used to retrieve emails
IMAP Internet message access protocol is what it stands for, it is used for accessing email from your local server
SMTP Simple mail transfer is what it stands for, it's an Internet standard for email transmission. It has extended additions which is the protocol used mostly today
