Ecosystem All the organisms living in a certain area and all the non-living conditions found there. This includes both biotic and abiotic factors.
Biotic Conditions The living features of an ecosystem. Eg. Predators and Presence of food.
Abiotic Conditions The non-living features of an ecosystem. Eg. Temperature and Soil pH
Habitat The place where an organism lives in an ecosystem.
Niche The role of a species within it's habitat. Eg. Where and when it feeds. What it eats
Adaptation A feature that a member of species has that gives them a better chance of survival and reproduction
Population All the organisms of one species in a habitat.
Community Populations of different species in a habitat.
Population Size Total number of organisms of one species in a habitat.
Abundance The number of individuals of one species in a particular area.
Distribution Where a particular species is in the area being investigated.
