What is Type 1 diabetes? A persons blood glucose level may be too high because the pancreas does not produce enough of the hormone insulin
How can Type 1 diabetes be controlled? Careful diet Exercise Injecting insulin
What is Type 2 diabetes? Develops when the body does not respond to its own insulin Obesity is a significant factor in the development of Type 2 diabetes
How can Type 2 diabetes be controlled? Careful diet exercise Drugs that help the cells respond to insulin
