AGAPE This is christian love. Love shown to a person no matter who they are, what they have done or whether the love is returned.
BIBLE The Christian holy book. It contains the word of God, describes miracles, parables, and other teachings in relation to right and wrong.
CONSCIENCE This is a person's "inner voice", a moral compass and believed to be the voice of God in the form of the Holy Spirit.
DEVIL/SATAN The opposing being to God, representative of evil. Encouraged Eve to defy God.
EVIL Something which is very bad/wrong, profound immorality and wickedness.
NATURAL EVIL Evil in the natural world (nature), not caused directly by human behaviour. Only a divine agent can be held morally responsible for it's occurrence.
MORAL EVIL Evil which is a result of the actions of humans, often towards other humans. eg. bullying or murder
FAITH A belief or trust in something for which there is no discernible evidence. Christians have faith that God exists and that he will help them.
FREEWILL The ability to act without constraint, self determined actions. This means people have the choice to obey or ignore God.
GOD It is the worshiped being in the Christian religion. It consists of the Holy Trinity and has characteristics including omni-benevolence and omnipotence. Represents good.
MORAL BEHAVIOUR Actions and decisions that are viewed as proper and acceptable with the intention to be without sin.
MORAL CODE Fundamental moral principles that outline the "right" way to behave. Christians believe this to be the rules of God.
ORIGINAL SIN The Christian doctrine of humanity's inevitable sinful nature. they believe everyone is born with original sin, the reason for baptism. it came about as a result of Eve giving into temptation and eating the forbidden fruit.
ORIGIN Where something is first derived.
PROBLEM OF EVIL God is both omnibenevolent and omnipotent yet evil is still in existence. It begs the question, why does he not stop it?
REDEMPTION the act of saving or delivering someone from Evil, sin or general wrongdoing.
REPENTANCE Sincere remorse for a wrong or immoral action while at the same time making up for it and proving it will never be repeated.
SUFFERING The pain, torment and misery that comes as a result of evil. There are four types: emotional, mental, religious and physical.
THE FALL Refers to the original sin when Adam and Eve made the transition from innocent obedience to a world ridden with sin and misfortune. The world "fell" away from God and good.
