Why are biomass pyramids shaped like a pyramid? Biomass is lost at each stage
Dry mass The mass of the organism when all water has been removed (dried out)
Ethical reasons of construction biomass pyramids? You need to kill the animal so can't be done every time
Why could it be difficult to construct accurate pyramids of biomass? Some organisms feed at more than on trophic level
How are pyramids of number and biomass different? Pyramids of numbers only shows numbers of organisms at each stage not their mass
