Question Answer
How does light travel? In straight lines
Approximately how fast does light travel? About 300,000 k/s
What is faster, Light or Sound? Light is almost 1 million times faster than Sound (Light = 300,000 and Sound = 0.34). This is why we SEE Fireworks before we HEAR them.
Why do we see things? Because light reflects into our eyes.
What is a Luminous object? It is an object which produces light.
What is a Non-Luminous object. A Non - Luminous object is one that reflects light.
What is a Non-Luminous object. A Non - Luminous object is one that reflects light.
What are shadows? Shadows are places where light is blocked.
What is the normal? The normal is an imaginary line that is 90 degrees from the surface.
What is the incident ray? The incident ray is the ray of light that comes from the source
What is the Angle of Incidence? The angle of incidence in the angle between the Incidence ray and the Normal.
What is the Reflection Ray? The reflection ray is the ray of light reflected off an object.
