Question Answer
What is osmosis? Osmosis is the movement of water molecules across a partially permeable membrane from a region of high water concentration to a region of low water concentration.
Is it big or small molecules (like water) that can pass through the partially permeable membrane? Small molecules
Why can water molecules pass both ways through the membrane during osmosis? Because Water molecules move about randomly all the time.
What is the water trying to act like it's trying to do? 'Even up' the concentration either side of the membrane.
What is osmosis a type of? Diffusion
