Microprocessor | An integrated circuit that carries all the functions of a CPU (central processing unit) |

Posting | A contribution to a conversation on a website |
Protocol | A set of rules that needs to be followed for communication between devices to take place |
RFID | Radio Frequency Identification (used to tag goods & pets) |
Search engine | Used to search for information on the www & shows users the results of the search so they can navigate to them |
URL | Uniform Resource Locator – the route to a file on a server |
Video conferencing | Uses video cameras, microphones, speakers & monitors to hold meetings/business conversations over the internet |
Web browser | Software application that allows users to view text, images & other features on web pages and allows navigation between websites |
Web page | Document, usually written in html, which contains instructions to tell the browser how to display the page |
Web server | A computer that holds web pages & allows access to them by others over the internet or a network |
Website | A collection of pages about related topics & accessed from the same servers |
World Wide Web | Pages of information stored on servers & accessed via the internet |
