Initial Ideas for music video
- Props: For my music video I think that there should be many props involved to make the
video better and interesting to watch. For example I would want some sort of vehicle
involved, as we can travel with it and the background can change to make it more amusing to
watch and different settings involved so the viewers don't get to bored and loose interest.
- I would also like to use phones or an iPod to make the video seem that the main character
started by listening to music. there isn't much props that i would suggest on using as i think the
best videos are the ones when its focused on the character and the song, not what is around.

- Colour: The colour should be either bright and white not colourful or dark and dim with shades
of grey and blacks this is what the genre of the song is so it helps to create the mood. This will
represent the characters mood through out the music video.
- Character: We should use a male as the main character as the artist who originally sings the song
is male so the words relate more to a man and the genre of the music and tone suits a male
artist rather than a female one. The gestures that the main character would do would be more
suited for a male person to copy and would look silly if a female was to do them.
- Rap genre: Fast tempo song, loads of words that are included and can tell a story throughout it. A
striking song, that goes fast with the beat of the music, solo artist, so background singers or
anything.
- Costumes: The main characters which I think should be a male, should be wearing black jeans
and a white top with a black hoodie over. they should be in style as this music video should
appeal to the generation now and if they look the part then the audience will like it more.i think
the artist should be wearing a hat to make the genre of rap for visual and obvious. Dark colours
for the outfit to contrast to the genre and mood of the song.
- Location: I want my music video to be in many different locations for example, the woods,
outside and building, central London or with a white background or in some sort of room. I think there should be a
variety of different locations to make the music video more amusing to watch and to stand out.
- Conventions : I would want loads of social media links, for example, twitter and Facebook. There
would be a QR code, barcode and a CD of the song.
- Information: There should be many ways which information of the music video song come out.
There should be a digipak which will have the track list, credits, lyrics, extra informations,
pictures, and quotes from the artist.
- There should also be an advert, where there would be a lot of information included such as,
when the relate date is, the social media links, ratings, where it can be brought, a iTunes logo to
show you can buy it off iTunes and any featured songs and extra information.

- There would be many images all included for the music video, if its for the advert or for the
digipak. There would be images for the digipak, advert, the main image for the music video,
photos for the album and for posters and for any extra photoshoots for promotion.
- Digipak: This would include shots of the music video, behind the scenes or any additional
photoshoots. there would be a free digital downloads for the audience to have. the CD needs to
stand out and be powerful
- Advert: This would be eycatching, stands out, the main artist would be the main focus as this would attract the audience.
- Narrative: the song is called change, the narrative is about someone changing within there life, or as
a person. I would change this into a few different narratives by making it about someone changing
there life and life choices. A different narrative that is completely different has nothing to do with
the song or lyrics so in this case i could do it about a missing child. The song could be about the
artist singing how he changed his method into finding his son and the depths he went to to try and
find his child. another narrative could be a love story, this could be about the artist falling for
someone who made him a bad person and how he is now struggling and what he has to do to
overcome the person he is and what it takes.
