What is God like?
Is God a kind of person?
A personal God refers to God as a person
An impersonal God refers to God as a concept/idea
Where is God?
An immanent God - A God who is in the world with us
A transcendent God - A God who is outside the world
Is there one God or many Gods?
Monotheism -the idea of one God
Polytheism - the belief in more than one God
God's nature
Omnipresent - God is everywhere at all times
Omnipotent - God is all powerful
Omniscient - God is all knowing
Transcendent - God is eternal
Creator - God made the world and we should value it
Omnibenevolent - God is all good
Judge - God will judge everyone
The Trinity
God the Father
Displaying God created everything
Shows a close and loving relationship, we are his children
Some call him 'Mother'
God the Son
Some believe Jesus was the Son of God
God sent him to teach right
God sent him to sacrifice himself
The Ressurection shows God has power over Death

In art it is shown in the form of a dove, a symbol of peace and hope
Why Christian's believe in God
The universe could not have come into existence by itself
Everything in the world is so beautifully designed for its purpose
There must be a God who gives people consciences

People are brought up in christian families
Why people do not believe in God
The universe may have happened by accident, the Big Bang
Evolution
Consciences are from how we are brought up
Growing up in a Christian family could just be a custom
Personal religious experiences could be mistaken
Space travel proves there is no heaven
Different religions contradict eachother
No-one can prove God exists
Miracles
A happening that is against all odds defying the laws of science
Why some may not beleive in miracles
It is supersticiuos
Always a scientific explanation
They may say a story was exaggerated
If God can do miracles why does he not do them more often?

Healing shows Gods love/power
Jesus sacrified himself
