  1. an increase in certain gases in the atmosphere traps more heat radiation from earth
    1. Greenhouse gases: water vapor, carbon dioxide & methane
      1. Radiation from the sun is short-wave so it can enter the atmosphere. It's absorbed by the clouds and atmosphere becoming long-wave now it bounces off the Earth's surface but reflected back down by greenhouse gases and keeps the earth warmer than it should be
