                        1. Gavilo Princip kills the crown prince of the Austrian-Hungarian 28th of June 1914
                          1. With German support, Austria-Hungary try to investigate in Serb territory. The Serbs oppose. The Austrian-Hungarians attack Serbia, and as they were allies with Russia, the Russians declare war to Austria-Hungary the 30th of July.
                            1. Germany, in turn, declares war to Russia the 1st of August and the 3rd to France
                              1. The 4th of August Germany invades Belgian territory which was a neutral country, initiating the French invasion.
                                1. England, who was guarantor for the Belgian sovereignty , declares war to Germany.
                                  1. United States comes into the picture in 1917, for the reason of a German submarine that sank the ship Lusitania
                                    1. Japan demands the evacuation of Jiao Zhou Germany rejects. Japan unites with the Allies and enters the war.
                                      1. In 1918 the Allies defeat Germany and they force them to sign the peace treaty
                                        1. TREATY OF VERSAILLES
                                          1. signed by Germany and the Allies in 1919 established the sanctions imposed upon Germany and a series of consequences. produced huge discontent among the Germans.

                                        1. The social differences became accented.
                                          1. The arm dealers became rich and the small savers became poorer.
                                            1. The women acquired a new position in society. They were indispensable during the war in the fields
                                              1. The feminist movement progressed and the female vote became a fact in GB, US Germany and Russia.

                                                1. The First World War generated an intense development of war artillery and techniques> machine guns, chemical weapons, tanks, airplanes, etc.
                                                  1. The artillery increased their size, range and correction methods.
                                                    1. The motorized transportation became generalized.
