Cell Structure
  1. Animal Cell -
    1. -Nucleus -Cell Membrane -Cytoplasm -Mitochondria -Ribosomes
      1. Nucleus - Contains genetic info, controls all functions of cell. Cell Membrane - controls what enters and leaves the cell. Cytoplasm - Where many cell activities and reactions happen. Mitochondria - provides energy for aerobic respiration. Ribosomes - Make proteins, site of protein synthesis
    2. Plant Cell
      1. -Nucleus -Cell Membrane -Cytoplasm -Mitochondria -Ribosomes -Chloroplasts -Vacuole -Cell Wall
        1. Chloroplast - Where photosynthesis occurs. Vacuole - Used to store water and other chemicals as cell sap (sugary water). Cell Wall - Strengthens and supports the cell (made of cellulose in plants)
      2. Fungal Cell
        1. -Nucleus -Cell Membrane -Cytoplasm -Mitochondria -Ribosomes -Cell Wall
          1. Cell Wall - Strengthens and supports the cell.
        2. Bacterial Cell
          1. -Cell Membrane -Cytoplasm -Ribosomes -Cell Wall -DNA Loop -Plasmid
            1. DNA Loop - A loop of DNA. NOT in the Nucleus. Plasmid - A small circle of DNA, may contain genes associated with antibiotic resistance
