                2. Non-action Verbs
                  1. Used to describe states such as appereance (seem), emotions (love) mental states (know), perception (hear), possession (own), wants (need) senses, desires, and opinion
                    1. The boss seems angry.
                      1. I know my co-workers very weel
                        1. Sam owns three cellphones
                          1. We need a new car.
                            1. Statives verbs can be used to describe states or actions, they ussually have a different meanings.
                              1. People are basically equal, or should be. (a state)
                                1. The children are being difficult today. (an action-behaving)
                                  1. I see what you mean. (a state-understand)
                                    1. Two of my co-worker are seeing each other: (an action-dating)
                            2. + Adjectives (Stative Use)
                              1. Jack dosen't look good tpday. Is she depressed
                                1. Your idea sonunds good to me.
                                2. + Adverbs (Active Use)
                                  1. I don't smell well when I have cold. (an action-using one's nose)
                                    1. the fire alarm sounded a warming loudly (an action-making a noise)
                                    2. look, sound, feel, smell and taste to show states
                                    3. THERE + BE
                                      1. To show the existence of something, can be past, present, or future. NOT progressive forms
                                        1. There was no other option.
                                          1. There won't be anywhere to park.
                                            1. There seems to be a problem with the TV.
                                            2. The verb in a There construction agrees in number with the noun following it.
                                              1. There have been several accidents here.
