- A mission statement is a short phrase that is used to describe the purpose of or reason for the existence of a business or organisation.
- The aims of a business are what it hopes to achieve as a result of its work.
- The objectives are the activities or targets that the business sets itself in order to achieve the aims.
- To maximise profits means to make the most profit possible
- A companys market share is the percentage or proportion of the total market it has
- Suvival-to keep your business up and running.
- Breaking even means that the total amount of money recieved from sales (revenue) equals total costs.
- Business may grow as a result from objectives,business growth is when a business grows more popular (national to intenational).
- some owners of businesses do not seek to maximise their profit but to gain a better quality of life by being their own boss (non-financial aims).
