BATTERIES / CELLS
1. Simple Cell

  1. Normal batteries go out of charge because the chemicals inside have been used up.
    1. With rechargeable batteries the radox is reversable
  2. Passing an electrical current through the battery forces the radox reaction into reverse
4. Fuel Cells
  1. With a fuel cell chemicals constantly flow into the cell so it will never go flat
    1. As long as the chemicals flow into the cell the electricity flows out of the cell
  2. No Carbon Dioxide is produced so no pollution is created
  3. Fuel cells need a source of hydrogen - obtained by electrolysis of water - and of oxygen - obtained from the air
