Ecosystem
  1. Meaning
    1. ecosystem is a biological community of interacting organisms and their physical environment
    2. Components
      1. 1) The biological part or biotic components
        1. Producers, Herbivores, Carnivores, Omnivores, Decomposers
          1. Producers
            1. These are the green plants also known as autotrophs and also chemosynthetic bacteria which convert the energy during photosynthesis when oxygen is released. The rest of the biological community is completely dependent upon the producers.
            2. Herbivores
              1. These animals obtain their energy by digesting plant material from the producers. Examples are goats, cows etc.
              2. Carnivores
                1. : These animals derive energy from eating herbivores animals. Examples are birds, tigers and lions.
                2. Omnivores
                  1. These animals eat plant materials and animals; they derive their energy from eating herbivores animals. Examples are human beings and bears
                  2.  Decomposers
                    1. These are small organisms like fungi; bacteria use dead plant and animal materials as food. These organisms break down the organic substances thereby releasing compounds back into the atmosphere.
                3. 2) The physical part or abiotic components
                  1. soil, water, temperature, humidity, light intensity, air
