Bonding Types
  1. Covalent Bonding
    1. Shared pair of electrons between atoms.
      1. Dative Bond: Bond where only 1 of the bonded atoms provides both electrons for the bonds.
      2. Ionic Bonding
        1. Electrostatic force of attraction between oppositely charged ions.
          1. Common Ions
            1. Nitrate: NO3(-)
              1. Carbonate: CO3(2-)
                1. Sulfate: SO4(2-)
                  1. Ammonium: NH4(+)
                2. Metallic Bonding
                  1. Attraction of positive ions to delocalised electrons.
                    1. Giant Metallic Lattice Properties
                      1. Malleable: Can be hammered into shape.
                        1. Ductile: Can be stretched out.
                          1. High BP/MP: Attraction between electrons and positive ions is very strong, so a lot of energy is required to break the bonds.
                            1. Conduct Electricity: Delocalised electrons can move freely anywhere in the lattice
