Auxin are used in selective weedkiller. It made trees lose their leaves without leaves plants cannot make food and the trees die.
Rooting powder
If cuttings are dipped into auxin powder, new roots start to grow on the cuttings so they can anchor in soil.
Fruit ripening
Auxin can be sprayed onto fruit trees to prevent the ripe fruit from dropping. Then they can harvested the fruit at the same time and they wouldn't be bruised

Auxin is at the top of the plant so if you cut the top of the plants off the auxin can't travel to the darkside and it want enlongate
