4. It's often used in formal texts. Switching to the active voice will make your writing clearer and easier to read.
   1. ACTIVE: A mass of gases wrap around our planet PASSIVE: Our planet is wrapped in a mass of gases.
5. Grammar Rules
   1. we use the preposition by to say who/what performs the action while using PAssive Voice
   2. Subject + to be (conjugated) + Past Participle + Rest of sentence

      9. Present conditional

             1. made if the kitchen had been dirty.

   3. With Infinitives
      1. The infinitive passive voice is used after modal verbs and other most verbs normally followed by an infinitive.
         1. You have to be tested on your English grammar.
         2. John might be promoted next year
         3. She wants to be invited to the party.
         4. I expect to be surprised on my birthday.
         5. You may be disappointed.
