  • Renaissance means rebirth, it's a period of time that started shortly after the middle age. During the Renaissance, a lot of new ideas and believes were developed, and classical style art were brought back from ancient Rome and Greece. Also they developed advanced technology and understanding in science. It lasted from the 1300 to the 1600.

    • During the Renaissance, not only the classical believes and ideas were brought back, also a lot of new ideas such as individualism and humanism were developed.

      • Humanism is a idea of people being individuals and they all deserves to be happy. Most of the intrest in learning during the Renaissance were influenced by Humanism. Humanism renewed intrest in classical studies and culture. A lot of scholars travel around Italy to learn new Humanism ideas.

        • Humanism included individualism. Individualism is a idea that every single person is important. The idea of individualism is a huge shift from medieval thinking.

                                        • A lot of people renewed their interest in the classical world. There are a lot of documents from the classical period that still survived. A lot of scholars started recollecting the documents from the past (Classical Period).

                                          • After the fall of Rome, classical cultural were never entirely forgotten. People from the cathletic church copies documents from the past to keep the history going. Also a lot of Renaissance Ideas used ancient Greece and Rome as a model.
