1) Warm moist air from tropics meet warm dry air from pole
2) Warm air less dense so rises over cold air
3) Warm air rises COOLS, CONDENCES and FORMS CLOUDS
4) Winds blow into depression (ALWAYS blow from high to low pressure)
Depressions form over Atlantic ocean and move towards east of UK
ANTICYCLONES - High Pressure Weather
Anticyclones form over Anticyclones and move towards east of UK
1) Air is falling which causes high pressure and soft winds
2) Falling air gets warmer so no clouds or rain for weeks even months
3) In summer anticyclones create long periods of clear warm skies. No clouds mean temperatures rise fast.
4) In winter anticyclones create long periods of clear frosty skies. No clouds mean temperatures drop fast at night.
