3. Greater progress made through EU
  1. E.g. improvement of water quality
Growing power of the EU
1. EU law takes precedence over UK
2. QMV means pressure groups must work harder to broader European support but they know that with the EU's consent the UK government must oblige
The importance of Europgroups
1. Aggregation of like-minded pressure groups
  1. More resources and represent greater amount of people
  2. Voices are better heard
2. EU recognises Eurogroups as legitimate source of information
3. NFU have permanent office in Brussels
  1. COPA-COGECA represent over 15 million farmers across the EU
