  1. Started in 1804 when Napoleon declared himself emperor of France
    1. He wanted to create an unified Europe
      1. He made many military victories that made him indispensable for France
      2. Foreing Policy
        1. He made France an Empire and had victories in Russia, Austria and Prussia
          1. He wanted to expand the ideas of equality and liberty
            1. He set a Continental Blockade to Britain.No country under his control was allowed to import British goods. The countries that were from the anti-French coallition had to support it too.
              1. He set members of his family as kings in the countires that depended on him
              2. Domestic Policy
                1. He set a civil code (laws applied to citizens)
                  1. He introduced divorce, civil marriage,adoption and an estate controlled education.
                  2. Decline
                    1. His military power started to decline when he failed his invasion to Russia. He was defeated in Leipzig in 1813
                      1. He was finally defeated in Waterloo in 1815, then he was exiled to St. Helena where he died in 1821
