  1. concave
    1. concave lenses are for the long-sighted
      1. the lense makes the rays come further apart
        1. it enlarges the image so it hits the eye ball at the right time
          1. the lense is fat in the middle like a cave
          2. convex
            1. it makes the rays become closer
              1. it is thin in the midddle
                1. convex lenses are for the short-sighted
                  1. it shrinks the image so it hits the eye in the right place
                  2. ear
                    1. 1) ear canal - passes on the vibration into the eardrum
                      1. 2) ear drum - starts to beat and passes the vibration to the ossicles
                        1. 3) ossicles - pass the vibration onto the liquid in the cochlea
                          1. 4) cochlea - change the vibration into electrical impulses and passes it onto the auditory nerve
                            1. 5) auditory nerve - sends the signal to the brain
                            2. eye
                              1. iris- coloured part, made of muscle controls the amount of light going into the eye
                                1. retina- contains cells which are light seneitive
                                  1. cornea- it refracts light
                                    1. optic nerve- focuses light onto the retina
                                      1. pupil- made smaller or bigger by the iris
                                      2. long-sighted
                                        1. the image is too big for them
                                          1. if someone is long-sighted their eyeball is too small
                                            1. they would have concave lenses
                                              1. the image is being focused behind the retina
                                              2. short-sighted
                                                1. if someone is short-sighted their eyeball is too long
                                                  1. the image is being focused in front of the retina
                                                    1. the image is too small for them
                                                      1. they would have convex lenses
                                                      2. oscilloscope graph
                                                        1. amplitude- shows how loud the sound is
                                                          1. time period - if the lines are close, the sound is high
                                                            1. crest - the wave (semi-circle) at the top of the wave
                                                              1. trough - the empty space between the waves
