In October 1925 representatives from Britain,
France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Poland and
Czechoslovakia meet in Locarno, Switzerland After
many days of negotiation they came to some
important agreements:
Germany accepted the borders with
France and Belgium that were decided in
the Treaty of Versailles and Britain and
Italy said they would protect France if
Germany violated these borders
1926: Germany joins the league of nations

1923 : the corfu crisis
Corfu incident, (1923) brief occupation of the Greek
island of Corfu by Italian forces. In August 1923 Italians
forming part of an international boundary delegation
were murdered on Greek soil, leading
Benito Mussolini to order a naval bombardment of Corfu.
After the Greeks appealed to the League of Nations, the
Italians were ordered to evacuate but Greece was forced to
pay Italy an indemnity.
