Dear Andrea, "Disorganized paperwork" and "wasting time looking for important documents" are all-too-common time thieves at work. In fact, according to some studies workers waste on average almost 40% of their workday looking for missing papers or last versions of some importants reports. So, good news because that, which sounds as though getting back on track, requires only a little planning, commitment and consistency. If you have decided to crowdsource advice it´s quite probable you´re struggling to control the chaos at your workplace so, where to begin? Consider taking away rubbish from your desk, you might get rid of everything that you haven´t used in more than six months. That´s the first step, when you have just the necessary things you can be focused on organising them. Additionally, nowadays, one of the most important tool (nor the principle one) is the email, so, why don´t you consider starting to use folders or labels for different subjects or projects? That way you can organize them better. You could try to set up the function of sending of sending emails directly to a specific folder so you don´t have to be worried about it. Furthermore, you might use not only different names for folders or labels, you can also use colors to make the organization more visual and the research less complicated. Creating rules to filter your emails and further emails utilities are available on Internet so I srongly recommend you to watch some tutorials on Youtube. Good Luck! Andrea
