MAKE. Usually refers to the result. Use make for creating or producing something and for actions you choose to do. Common collocations: food, money, relationships, communication, plans and progress. DO. Generally refers to the action itself. Use do for actions, obligations and repetitive tasks. Common collocations: housework, work, study, taking care of your body and general good or bad actions.
