Unlike what the name suggests, people with color-blindness do see color. Color-blindness is just seeing differences in color. What one person might see as green, someone with color-blindness might see as yellow.

Most color genes are located on the X chromosome. Men are more likely to have color vision problems due to only having one X chromosome.
People with color-blindness can see camouflage better. This is either due to being less distracted by color or being used to looking at other visual cues like patterns and texture.
