The DHCP Relay Agent component is a Bootstrap Protocol (BOOTP) relay agent that relays Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) messages between DHCP clients and DHCP servers on different IP networks.
NotesYou cannot use the DHCP Relay Agent component on a computer running the DHCP service, the network address translation (NAT) routing protocol component with automatic addressing enabled, or Internet Connection Sharing (ICS).
To add the DHCP Relay Agent Open Routing and Remote Access. In the console tree, click General.Routing and Remote Access/server name/IP Routing (IPv4/IPv6)/General Right-click General, and then click New Routing Protocol. On the General tab, in Server address, type the IP address of your DHCP server, and then click Add. Repeat step 4 for each DHCP server you need to add, and then click OK.
