How to times fractions2/4 x 1/2 = 2/8 = 1/4Times both numerators (top fraction) this will equal the numerator (top fraction) of your answer. Then times both denominators (bottom fraction) this will equal the denominator (bottom fraction) of your answer. Finally if you can simplify the answer do it because it will earn you more marks. I have done so in the example before. I divided both numerator and denominator by 2 and got the final answer. This is the final answer because you will not be able to divide the answer any more.
