standard operating procedure(SOP) for SEA Freight to India: 1. DTDC will enter info into the Excel sheet 1st 4 columns. 2. DTDC will send Transco an alert email requesting for a BL number update. Sender Name: Shipment Details: Number of box/es Weight details (optional) 3. Upon Receipt of above Transco will assign a BL no for that shipment 4. Counter alert email will be sent by Transco after updating the BL No 5. DTDC to advise the Customer to write the BL number on the boxes. 6. If the Customer is unable to write the BL on the Boxes then the customer should write the DTDC Tracking/ Reference number on all boxes in the following format eg DTDC -12345678. This is in addition to the Couriers Tracking Label Securely Affixed on each box. 7. DTDC to ensure the documents (Transco Shipping Declaration, Packing List and Bio Data Page of the Senders Passport) are scanned and e-mailed to Transco within 2 working days of getting the BL No from Transco. If DTDC is unable to get the documents within the 2-day period DTDC to send Transco a pending message. 8. Transco Invoices will be sent as soon as the vessel sails from Melbourne . Settlement of these invoices within 14 days of raising the invoice.
