Othello Act 1 Scene 2 Summary(Another street in Venice) Iago has reached Othello's house and is pretending great loyalty to Othello. He informs Othello of Roderigo's animosity against him. He then warns him that the influential Brabantio will do all in his power to revenge himself on Othello and separate him from Desdemona. Othello expresses confidence that his services to Venice and his own royal birth will out-tongue Brabantio's complaints against him. Othello is summoned to the Senate. Brabantio's search party enters and Brabantio accuses him of stealing away his daughter by witchcraft. Othello will answer these charges but first he must answer the Senator's summons. Brabantio wishes to arrest Othello and put him on trial. However, since the Duke requires them both urgently, he is willing to put his case before the Duke and all depart for the Council Chamber.
