Present progressive
The present progressive or continuous is a verbal tense of the present which is used in two cases:
1.- To describe facts or actions that the subject is performing at the moment of speaking.
2.- To talk about an action that we will perform in the near future.
In negative
Pronoun + auxiliary verb + not + verb -ing + complement + time Expression
Example
Kelly is not eating in her home at the moment.
“To be” like Am, is, are.
In negative
I= Am not
She, He= isn´t
You, they, we= aren´t
2.- If verb ends in "e" it is removed and -ing added:
Come – coming
Write – writing
3.- If the verb ends in "ie" it is removed and added "y" followed by -ing
