Chapter 2-business aims and objectives

· Mission Statement -A summary of the aims and values of a company eg Chanel’s mission statement: “To be the Ultimate House of Luxury, defining style and creating desire, now and forever."

· Aims - A purpose or intention; a desired outcome. E.g a business might aim to be the most successful business in county.

· Maximising profit - making the profit as great as possible e.g advertising, decreasing prices

· Maximising market shares- The percentage of an industry or market's total sales that is earned by a particular company over a specified time period.

· Survival

· Breaking even

· market growth
