What was the reaction of the Banu Israel after seeing those many blessings and seeing the dead man come back to life?
They turned to Allah
They acknowledged their mistakes and repented
They became stubborn and their hearts became hard.
How do we cure hard hearts?
Consciously recite the Quran and ponder on the verses again and again.
Visit the sick, remember death
We should be kind towards those who are weak in society
We learn from the first type of rocks that some people do a lot of good and benefit others as we see a lot of water gushes out from a river
Sometimes we like to do much good and benefit others but we are busy, what should we do?
Wait for times when we will have time and do good
Benefit people as much as you can even if you are very busy.
We can feel bad that we are busy.
The Banu Israel were waiting for a prophet to come but when Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) came they denied him why?
Because he was from the Arabs and not from them
That was not the Prophet they were waiting for
They were waiting for a command from Allah
Lesson we learn from ayah 75. We should be careful while reciting the Qur'an so we don't change the meaning of the word of Allah.
The Ummiyyeena referred to here are?
Disbelievers
Those who have the book but they have no idea what the book says
The Jews
Even if the person knows many other books, if he doesn’t know the Book of Allah, he is uneducated
Why did the Banu Israeel write the book by their hands and say it was from Allah?
For worldly gain
Because some parts of their scripture was lost
They were intending to make better their scripture
What will happen to people who invent things in the religion and say it’s from Allah?
They will be punished
Nothing will happen to them
They will not be punished unless they invented a big lie against Allah
