ETHICAL/SUSTAINABLE INVESTMENTS
* These selection criteria, however, are not the only ones
* More and more investors believe that a 'sustainable' approach to investments is more likely to result in reliable ROI in the long term, hence the expression: 'To do well by doing good.'
* Sustainable investments are usually labelled with the following descriptions:
* Socially Responsible Investing (SRI)
* Ethically Social and (corporate) Governance Investing (ESG)
* Impact Investing
* ESG funds engage with companies able and willing to improve social conditions as well as the environment. ESG funds, for example, could invest in companies promoting the use of green energy
* ESG AND SRI FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO BOTH RETAIL AND INSTITUTIONAL INVESTORS
* IMPACT INVESTMENTS ARE OPEN TO LARGE AND SOPHISTICATED INVESTORS
