Social Globalization: The spread of ideas and cultural values across the world

Economic Globalization: The way the world has become interdependent on resources over time

Political Globalization: The growth of a worldwide political system

‘Global village’: The idea that the world is becoming smaller, or more like a "village" because of the ease of connections between people across the world

Interdependence: When countries depend on each other

‘Cultural imperialism’ (Americanization): When a more dominating culture overtakes the ideas or people of another culture. "Americanization" refers to the dominating culture in the United States.
