-Video files: stored on server. allows free access to anyone or require a code before videos can be viewed

-companies that provide user access to the Internet
- customer pay monthly fee for this service
-once sign up to ISP, an account is set up.user name and password created
-ISP monitor Internet usage when users access internet

Podcasts
-series of media files (audio and video) that are released at regular intervals and downloaded to a user's computer
-stored and maintained centrally
-listener or viewer employ appropriate application software to access files, check for updates and download new files in given series

Tagging
- of bookmarking where a user tags a web page or photograph using some text to describe its contents
-can be viewed by anyone

Bit (data ) streaming
-refers to data sent in a compressed form over the Internet that can be displayed in real time on the user's computer
-downloaded data is sent to buffer; it's not saved on the user's computer. needs to be streamed every time video or audio file is to be accessed
-can either be true(real time) or on-demand
