Possibility / Permission
Can / May = Eating certain types of cheese during pregnancy may be dangerous
In questions it is more often used for permission!

Necessity
Need to = You will find you need to rest more frequently

Obligation
Must / Have to = Pregnant women must rest as much as possible
For questions, it is better to use have to and not must!

Persuasion / Expectation
Should / Ought to (to give advice) = You should eat more fruit.
In questions, you can use Can't or Shouldn't = Can't I have the appointment sooner?
