P5TeamworkOrganisationDecisionMakingVerbal CommunicationFlexibilityI was able to help do different tasks whenthe staff needed help as they had a lackof staff. I also came in early some dayswhen they asked me to for extra help.I sorted out the rails in the back whereall the stock was kept. There was railseverywhere from over stock due to theChristmas period approaching so Ihelped organise it so it was a lot moretidy and easy to accessMe and a few other girls from the college had the opportunityto dress some mannequins. We got to chose the clothes wewanted and all the sizes. We also split intp 2 groups and dida comp shop. my team went into selfridgtes and the otherteam went to regents street where we wrote downinformation and took loads of picturesI had to communicate with all different types of customerson each floor I worked on during the 3 weeks. Also, I hadto help the customers and help find them clothes thatthey was looking for and give my opinion when they askedwhat the garment would look like on them.I had to decide what items would go onthe mannequins when I was told todress a mannequin all by myself. I hadto decide what items go with what tochose the correct sizes.I will need to have verbal communication as a skill in the futurefor my chosen career path as it means I can get things doneand I can get the message across which Im trying to say. Youalways need communication in any job but especially in Buyingas you need to negotiate with the suppliersYou need to have good organisation in anychosen job you decide to have whenyou're older as you need to make sure alltasks are completed. I will need this inBuying as I will be very busy and alwayshave something to do so I'll need to makesure that every task I do is doneefficiently and correct so I am organisedand can move on to the next taskFor buying, you definitely need tohave good decision making. Thisis because you need to knowexactly what would sell in theshops. You need to make surethat you decide carefully andchoose the right option as itcould end up in the item notselling and you could loose yourjob or get into trouble.In your career,you will always have to at some pointwork in a team or even with a partner along side ofyou. This is key as you can both give your opinions onwhat you have to do and get the work done quickerBeing flexible in your job is always a good skill to have. If a companynotices how flexible you are, they will be very impressed. Being a buyermeans that you need to be flexible at all times.
