Make sure to give description of the setting or context in which the targeted behaviours occur.

Example :
Monday: May 6/ language arts class. The teacher handed back the written
assignments on The Outsiders. Jason had a low mark.

B = Behaviour
Behaviours are a response to a request ,which can be words or actions demonstrated by the student

Tips:

describe in objective, measurable terms how the student behaved
specify exactly what the student said or did

Example:
Jason looked at his mark and threw his paper, hitting another student.

C = Consequence An immediate response to a behaviour.

Tips:

Record a single chain of events to accurately record a behaviour
Make observations specific enough so you can use the information

given a noon hour detention.
