You should reference when quoting directly from a source
You don't need to reference when summarising or paraphrasing key ideas from a core text book for your course.
You don't need to reference images or figures used in your work.
In your conclusion, if you are summarising ideas you have previously talked about in the main body of text, and referenced them correctly then, you do not need to reference them again now.
The layout of my reference isn't important
A direct quote:
Needs quotation marks
Needs a page number
Shouldn't be more than 2 lines long
Doesn't need to be referenced
Doesn't need to fit grammatically within your text
Should be used all the time
Can be changed to fit the text
