Sustainability concept at Infineon covers aspects from suppliers to customer, employees to social stakeholders and investor with six fields of activity: Business Ethics, Corporate Citizenship, CSR Supply Chain Management, Environmental Sustainability, Occupational Health and Safety, Human Resources Management and Human Rights.

Even though it has shown positive results as one of most sustainable company in the world award, the challenges in the future development need to be anticipated to prepare long term sustainability. The recent financial and economic crisis may affect this industry, based on McKinsey research, CAGR of semiconductor industry fell from 7 to 3 percent from 2008 to 2014 caused by drop in demand due to no major growth and increased competition.
