Max Appeal is a Uk charity which supports families with children who have either 22q11 deletion or DiGeorge Syndrome, both of which a can cause ( serious, major, life-limiting ) physical, developmental and intellectual problems for the children affected. Unlike conditions such as Autism or Down's Syndrome ( so little, little, not a lot ) is currently known about 22q11 deletion and DiGeorge Syndrome that it is often mis-diagnosed and parents ( struggle to, can't, have to fight to ) get the support they need. Like a lot of conditions such as Autrism, 22q11 deletion and DiGeorge Syndrome are ( spectrums, a mix of, combinations ) of symptoms. ( We are lucky that, Luckily,, Thankfully ) our son is on the mild end of the spectrum and to many just seems to be a happy, friendly - if somewhat small - little boy. ( Sadly, Unfortunately, However ) people don't see the true ( impact, effect, consquences ) this condition has as, like so many affected children, it is in the details of development and ( cognitive functioning, intellegence, intellectual ability ) that our son is so ( badly, severely, seriously ) affected and that is why I want to raise awareness by taking part in the ( first ever public, forthcoming, public ) fundraising event for this ( amazing, worthy, little-known ) charity. Any amount of sponsorship you can offer would do so much to help with this ( little known, rare, unusual ), mis-understood and often mis-diagnosed condition.
