(example: Admixtures Spec.
1. water reducing and air entraining agents shall be used in all concrete.

3. Air entraining agent: "Darex" by WR Grace)

Performance Specifications

(example: Spray on Fireproofing spec stating all materials, procedures for application, and thicknesses necessary to provide required protection...)

Descriptive Specifications

(example: solid wood door construction specifically stating what doors etc. SHALL BE UNLESS OTHER WISE INDICATED, ie. "shall be wood solid core 3'x0" x 7'-0")

Reference Specification

(example: steel stud connectors shall comply with "structural welding code" of AWS American Welding Society)

Cash Allowance Specifications

(Example: Schedule of Allowances.
Allowance 1: lump sum of $3k for hardware as defined in Div.8 spec.
Allowance 2: lump sum of $5k for carpet)

Specs are divided into

Three Specification PARTS:
