EXTENSION- this happens when the bones forming a joint move away from each other

ABDUCTION- the movement of a limb AWAY from the midline of the body.

ADDUCTION- the movement of a limb TOWARDS the midline of the body.

ROTATION- when the bone at a joint moves around its own axis, making a circular movement.
