The dawn of a new day is the herald of a sunset. Earth is not our permanent home.

For God so loved the world that he have his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

When a person dies, the angels ask "What has he sent in advance?"

If one speaks or acts with a wicked mind, unhappiness follows...similiarly, if one speaks or acts with a pure mind happiness follows.

Respect your father and your mother so that you will live a long time in the land I am giving you

Having supported me I will support them

May his nose be rubbed in dust who found his parents approaching old age and lost his right to enter paradise because he did not look after them.

Honour your father and your mother

Child, why do you quarrel with your father due to whom you have grown to this age? It is a sin to argue with him.

Do not do to another what you do not like to be done to yourself.

Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him.

You shall not murder

I will not harm any living thing

First precept

Nor take life - which Allah has made sacred - except for just cause.

I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies.
