Irregular Verbs - Practising 1: Martha and her talents

My friend, Martha, [blank_start]was[blank_end] a very talented girl

She [blank_start]sang[blank_end] in our school's choir and she [blank_start]drew[blank_end] beautiful pictures with her pencil.

She always [blank_start]read[blank_end] books about music, art, food and health, and she [blank_start]understood[blank_end] everything!

Once, she [blank_start]came[blank_end] to my house and we [blank_start]ate[blank_end] a giant pizza she cooked for us!

Then, she [blank_start]slept[blank_end] in my bedroom, next to my bed.

When we [blank_start]woke up[blank_end], we [blank_start]had[blank_end] to go to school.

I [blank_start]sat[blank_end] on my red bike and I [blank_start]told[blank_end] Martha she [blank_start]could[blank_end] use my pink bike.

But, this time she [blank_start]ran[blank_end] away quickly.

I [blank_start]saw[blank_end] her crying and she [blank_start]spoke[blank_end] to me: "I don't know how to ride a bike".

I [blank_start]told[blank_end] her: "Don't worry. I am your friend and I should help you."

So, that day, I [blank_start]taught[blank_end] her how to ride a bike!

She [blank_start]fell[blank_end] a lot of times but she [blank_start]became[blank_end] an expert the next week! My friend Martha is a very talented girl, and I am a very talented cycling teacher, haha!
