Question 4
Question
In red shift, different chemical elements absorb different [blank_start]frequencies[blank_end]. Each element produces specific pattern of [blank_start]dark lines[blank_end] at the frequencies it absorbs in the [blank_start]visible spectrum[blank_end]. When we look at light from [blank_start]distant galaxies[blank_end] we can see the same patterns but at slightly [blank_start]different frequencies[blank_end] to what they should be- they are shifted towards the [blank_start]red[blank_end] end of the spectrum.
